Everything in Italy is tied to food, and alcohol especially; its purpose is to stimulate and to enhance.

This is what i’ve always seen and learned from my family, wine was always a presence at the table (Lunch included); a real event.

The Mercato Choice:

Mercato Italiano’s wine collection is based on m Veneto family contact, from Prosecco DOCG in the Colli Euganei, to price winner best Bardolino by Garda Lake, to the Valpolicella Classico with the grand Amarone della Valpolicella.

Sparkling Wine

Valpolicella Classico DOC

Producer Corte Lenguin

‘Classic table wine in the Verona area Excellent with pasta and meat sauces and roasted red meats and medium young cheeses’

Vines:

Corvina Verinses, Corvinone, Rondinella

Organoleptic properties:

Vibrant and full ruby red colour. Medium consistency in glass with complex and very intense aromas, fruity with undertones of cherry and raspberry. Hot and soft tasting, elegant tannins, very persistent.

Roses Wine

Chardonnay Veneto IGT

Producer Alla Campagnola

“Known and cultivated all over the world, it offers long-lived wines with extraordinary elegance. Aged in wood.”

Colour:

Straw yellow with bright golden reflections.

Smell:

Covina, Rondinella Elegant and complex, with intense initial aromas of exotic fruit, mango and banana. followed by the sweet notes of yellow peach, wildflowers. The refined bouquet closes with delicate notes of vanilla and green hazelnut.

Taste:

Full, rich and silky sip. The harmonic structure, fresh and delicately sapid.

Food pairing:

Perfect throughout the meal, suitable for appetisers, Light dishes, Grilled fish and pizza. Excellent paired wit appetisers and seafood first courses or with vegetables, tuna tartare, baked fish, white meats, medium-aged cheeses.

Prosecoo D.O.C

Producer Alla Campagnola

‘It is the best known bubble by far, loved for its pleasantness and delicacy, suitable for any occasion and versatile in the kitchen. Even in the Euganei Hills “it is at home”, and, particularly in the hilly areas, the Glera grape finds optimal conditions to be cultivated and declined in the production of Prosecco Doc Spumante.’

Taste:

Fresh and delicately sapid sip. Perlage feels fragrant on the palate and with a delicate mineral return. Harmonic structure and persistent finish. Pleasant mouth aroma with a return to the soft citrus notes of lime.

Food Pairings:

Suitable throughout the meal, it is excellent for aperitif, light fish appetisers, risotto and first courses wit vegetables, fried of paranoia, paella and white meats. Fresh fruit dessert.

Chiaretto Di Bardolino DOC Classico

Producer La Rocca

Production area:

Bardolino Classico, Municipality of Bardolino

Grape Varieties:

Covina, Rondinella

Vinification:

Racking of the must after 12-24 hours of maceration and subsequent fermentation at controlled temperature; then, aged in steel.

Food pairing:

Perfect throughout the meal, suitable for appetisers, Light dishes, Grilled fish and pizza.
